Getting down to business.

The toilet is my place of solitude, reflection, thought, escape from the hustle and bustle of
the outside world and if I’m occasionally lucky, from my family.

There’s something to be said about a man’s simple visit to the restroom; for many years it has been a seat of learning, decision-making and inspiration, from the primitive cave paintings etched on the walls of Lucerne, to catching up on the latest sporting results, or simply reading the contents of a handy bottle of bleach. Loo time has now become prime time, but never wasted time.

Isaac Newton certainly didn’t come up with the theory of gravity while sitting under a tree waiting for an apple to drop. Nor was Archimedes inspired to run through the streets shouting ”Eureka” upon the understanding of water displacement after dipping his toe into a simple bath. No, these and many other great discoveries were the results of time well spent on the thrown.

Now I feel my time has come to kill two proverbial birds with one stone – get to business while doing my business, hence my blog from the bog.

And while you may assume that this blog will be filled with 90-95% lavational humor and complete tittle-tattle, you’d be very much correct, but, perhaps there may just be a few hidden gems of real inspiration to be found, so please sit back and if you’re in a similar position to myself right now enjoy the ride.
